Unfair!

Elizabeth said it best in her Facebook post yesterday....

Elizabeth Kahle : If my daddy calls you sweetheart, smile, take it as a compliment. He's one of the nicest men you will ever meet. Don't file a formal complaint about sexual harrassment... that broke his heart.

That is exactly what happened on Monday. Rick, who's the nicest guy on earth... does call all women "sweetheart." It's just his way. And it endeared me to him over twenty years ago.

However, the little food pantry that he works at (correction... worked at) called him out on this very thing. Some "lady" was offended by hearing him call other women "sweetheart." And yes, his heart is very broken. His spirit is broken as well.

What has this world come to when someone can't just simply be nice to others?

Wow! My dad calls all my friends "sweetheart". My friend lacy says "its soo cute" I think its just a dad thing to say to kids. Tell your dad he really didn't do anything wrong, or out of the ordinary, for that matter.

I'm glad to know that some folks are on Rick's side. I'm feeling so bad that Rick has been treated this way. Jesse Ringness said it best... That person obviously didn't KNOW Rick.
