Last week, my daughter met me at my school so that we could drive together to her doctor's appointment.
She showed up just as a meeting was about to take place in a nearby conference room and thinking she was "just another parent" I simply said 'hi' and pointed her in the direction of the meeting room.
She didn't go. Instead she irritated me by pulling up a chair to my desk.
Really, Lady? You have to sit here????
Oh, wait. You're not a "lady." In fact, you look strangely familiar.
All would've been well if only I hadn't told Elizabeth that I hadn't recognized her...
But she took it well. She laughed her head off at me. And told everyone she knew. She's nice like that.
